 Craft Sweet Valentine’s Memories at Amity Coffee Roasters! 

Join us for a fun and festive Valentine’s Day-themed Polymer Clay Workshop on February 13th at 5:15 PM at Amity Coffee Roasters in Greenwood, DE.

What We’ll Do:

In this workshop, you’ll be guided step-by-step to create adorable chocolate-covered strawberries using polymer clay. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to work on chocolate bonbon magnets during any “lulls” in the class! Learn how to:

  • Sculpt realistic strawberries and bonbons.

  • Spread “chocolate” clay on your designs and add “icing” with delightful Valentine’s-themed toppings!

  • Use basic sculpting techniques like conditioning, shaping, and detailing to bring your creations to life.

Duration:

The class takes approximately 2 hours of creative fun!

In this “Cups & Cookies” themed class, you will be guided through the basics of working with polymer clay while customizing your design (coffee, tea, hot cocoa, frosting, sprinkles, you name it!) You will learn about “conditioning”—a step to prep the clay, and other sculpting techniques. There will also be extra clay and materials available to make a design of your choice! All supplies will be provided—just bring your imagination and hands eager to create!

Age Limit: 8 & up. Tickets are non-refundable but may be transferred to a friend if you are unable to attend.

Join us in celebrating the release of Denise Harper's new book, Treasured Inside!

Treasured Inside is a collection of notes that reflect the intersection of Denise Harper’s life of every day, ordinary things with our extraordinary God. From junk drawers to sticky notes and passports to thrift stores, and everything in between, she finds a way to connect the mundane of the day to the magnificent heart of God.

You might recognize the stories from her blog “Treasured Inside,” which she shares during the week on the radio as heard on The Bridge Morning Show with Denise & Chris.

Denise hopes that you will be encouraged to look and listen for God in the little things in your life. Because the little things can become the big things and God is with you in all of it!

Denise T. Harper is the Program Director for The Bridge and has been half of The Morning Show with Bill and Denise from 2010
through 2023. Prior to The Bridge, she and Bill Sammons Jr. co-hosted The Morning Show on The Light FM for a number of years between 1991 and 2003. She is now co-host of The Bridge Morning Show with Denise and Chris every weekday morning. After graduating from high school, she moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, to sing for a year at the PTL Club in 1982-1983. While there, she had the opportunity to work with many amazing artists including BeBe & CeCe Winans, Howard McCrary, and more. She left PTL to tour across the U.S. with The Spurrlows for a year. That experience led her to tour nationwide with the group, Sound of Joy, based out of Pensacola, Florida. It was in this group that she met and married her husband, Ken, who was already in the group and serving as the drummer, bus driver, and road manager.

Denise and Ken came back to Denise’s home state of Delaware in 1990, not intending to stay long when God opened the door for her to work with the new (and first!) Christian radio station in Delaware, that was just going on the air. Her radio career started in 1991, and she hasn’t “worked” a day since because she absolutely loves what she does. They are the parents of two awesome young people, Cody and Abby; and proud grandparents, “Popi and LaLa,” to Cody’s daughter, Macey.

Sweater Weather Cookie Class

In this class, we will explore the basics of royal icing and various decorating techniques including flooding, piping, and wet-on-wet. We will practice piping and flooding skills before decorating the five cookies: sweater, coffee cup, mitten, gnome, and pumpkin. All supplies will be provided. This class is aimed for beginners, so come as you are! 

Registration is $40 per person.

Space is limited. Suggested 13 years and older.

**If you would like to purchase a coffee beverage or other Amity treat, we suggest arriving 15-20 minute before the start of class. Parking is available behind the shop or along the street.**
